Jan 23, 8-10pm | Evening of Song with Chana Raskin of RAZA
On Tuesday, January 23, Rahmana joyfully welcomes Chana Raskin of RAZA. Chana founded RAZA in 2018 to explore feminine sound in the Hasidic melodies of her childhood. In Feb 2022, she released her debut album "Kapelya", the first professionally recorded LP of women singing Chabad Hasidic nigunim. Chana has performed and led circles around the world, both solo, and accompanied by her all-female band and chorus.
Jan 27, 8:30-10am | Pray
Gather for a shacharit on this, Shabbat Shira, the Shabbat of Song. Our tefilah (prayer) aims to cultivate connection, trust, and a flow between being alone together and together together through the resonance of shared song. We use traditional liturgy. This morning will feature a brief workshop: we will see hand positions during prayer as described in our canon, expanding our bodies’ vocabulary during prayer. Followed by kiddush.
