Splitting the Sea in Song: A Journey to the Water
Friday, April 18
9:15pm
Join Rabbi Aviva Richman and Rav Hannah as we sing our way into the end of Passover, which commemorates the miracle of splitting the sea. Though we often think of the Song of the Sea as a celebratory exultation after redemption, we will embrace traditions that describe an important role for song before safely crossing the sea. Whether in total crisis on the banks of the sea between the army and the crashing waves, when we have no idea where redemption will come from, or in the midst of crossing when we don't know whether a hoped-for pathway towards redemption will last, song is there to accompany - and maybe to carve out - our journey to redemption.
This is an all-gender program.
Meeting place located in the South Hilltop neighborhood, address shared following registration
