This Shavuot, as we mark the giving of the Torah, we will learn two texts that add texture to what it means to be the ‘recipients’ of Torah. These extraordinary teachings allow us to imagine a religious commitment to a personal practice even when it disrupts communal mitzvot and to imagine an essential co-creative role in the receiving and developing of Torah. Facilitated by Rav Hannah.
